So, you’ve probably heard many a Critic say MINIONS isn’t as funny as they hoped. Well, I found it quite entertaining. It is only 91 minutes and shows the MINIONS before the days of DESPICABLE ME, as they journey to find an evil leader. Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm add their voices. There are fun historical references. While the best part is actually the soundtrack, I caution you to just not overthink this. They’re MINIONS. Yellow, pill-shaped (or, should I say Tic-Tac-shaped?) animated characters. It does drag a bit, even though it only runs 91 minutes. And, for the price of admission, you get to hear your kids roll into belly laughs. Rated PG.
